A critical analysis
- It is a very light weight 8-shot revolver. I have yet to see a lighter weapon of this size in .22 LR calibre. It is entirely made up of Aluminium Alloy. The barrel housing is made up of alloy and fitted with a steel barrel as a sleeve. The chamber is made up of the same aluminium alloy, In fact I think this is the world's first revolver with aluminium chamber made by any large company. As a result of the alloy chamber the .22 LR round of IOF, Kirkee Factory do not eject properly after firing and the factory officials where this revolver is made recommend IMPORTED AMMUNITION !!!!
- This revolver should not be dry fired as the firing pin will damage the firing pin housing as well as the cylinder. The grips need re-checkering and re-polishing for a presentable look. The overall paint is of the same type of black powder coating as done on the .32" IOF revolvers which most of us have seen.
- The net market value is about Rs 37,000/- which is more or less the same every where. Because of its high price as compared to its quality there are only a few takers for this weapon. If you want to practice hunting and shooting in quiet places then this weapon is for you.
