Instructions For Filling Of Form

  1. All entries in the form should be filled in the BLOCK CAPITAL LETTERS or neatly typed.
  2. Enclose a crossed Bank Draft for Rs. 6000/- in favour of General Manager, Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore drawn preferably on State Bank of India, Northern Avenue Branch, Kolkata or on any Nationalized Service Branch, Kolkata.
  3. Enclose an attested photocopy of your valid arms licence for Pistol issued by the licencing authority. Licence should be valid for the purchase of 0.32" PISTOL.

NOTE : Incomplete Forms / Illegibly written forms / forms without proper enclosures will be rejected and

GM / GSF will bear no responsibility whatsoever in such cases.

Terms And Conditions Of Sale

  1. Order will be accepted in the prescribed Form only.
  2. Orders from Indian Citizens having valid Arms Licence for purchase of PISTOL issued by appropriate civil authority only will be considered (Application Form must accompany attested photocopy of the Arm Licence for Pistol & self addressed envelope with stamp for Registered Post).
  3. An applicant can book only one Pistol at a time.
  4. Advance payment of Rs. 6000/- will be required through Crossed Bank Draft in favour of General Manager, Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore, with Application Form. The Advance Deposit will be adjusted in the final bill on the maturity of the order. In case of cancellation of order on customers request, Rs. 500/- will be deducted as service / cancellation charges.
  5. Incomplete applications will summarily be rejected. General Manager, Gun & Shell Factory, Cossipore reserves the right to refuse to book any order without assigning any reason what so ever without giving any notice.
  6. Money Advice note to the individual to complete the formalities against their order will be issued in time depending upon production / stock, strictly in sequence of Serial No. of priority allocated. The formalities required to be completed on receipt of Money Advice Note are as indicated below :

    If the terms & conditions are acceptable, the Applicant is to forward, i) Crossed Bank Draft in favour of G.M., GSF, Cossipore for the Amount as will be indicated in the money Advice Note. ii) Original Arms Licence valid at the time of delivery of Pistol and iii) No objection certificate from the licencing authority valid at the time of delivery of Pistol and any other document which may be required under Arms Rule 1962.

  7. In the event of failure to comply with any or all the above formalities within time as specified in the money advice Note, the order stands automatically cancelled and advance deposit will be refunded after deducting Rs. 500/- as service / cancellation charges. However G.M., GSF, Cossipore reserves the right to extend or refuse to extend the above time limit at his discretion.
  8. Price / Duties / Taxes applicable on the date of actual supply will be applicable / chargeable. Any increase in taxes / duties or fresh impost effective from the date prior to the date of supply but coming to the notice of the factory at a later date will also be payable by the customer within one month of demand.
  9. Every effort will be made to effect the supply in sequence of the priority number but no guarantee is given to this effect. No liability will be accepted for any change of sequence of supply for any reason whatsoever.
  10. No claim for demand of any loss or damage due to delayed execution of order will be entertained.
  11. No responsibility or liability will be accepted for the postal delays.
  12. Right is reserved to cancel any order without assigning any reason and without giving any prior notice. In this event payments received against such order will be refunded as dues.
  13. No liability is accepted for compensation / interest on advance or full payment received against the order booked with the factory for any reason whatsoever.
  14. Notwithstanding what have been here in fore stated, Chairman, Ordnance Factory Board, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India reserves the right to sell the Pistol to any Government Department / Autonomous Body / individual at his discretion Out of Turn.
  15. Pistols once sold will not be taken back or exchanged. In the unlikely event of any manufacturing defect, necessary repair shall be carried out free of charge (up to 1 year after sale) at Gun & Shell Factory Cossipore on production of Pistol by the customer.
  16. Except where otherwise provided in the terms and conditions for sale all questions and dispute arising in connection with this contract shall be referred to the sole Arbitrator to be appointed by the Chairman, Ordnance Factory Board. It will be no objection that arbitrator so appointed is a Government servant. The award of the arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties to this contract. Subject as aforesaid, the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996 and the Rules made there under for the time being in force shall be deemed to apply to the Arbitration proceedings under this clause.
  17. The above procedure of sale in subject to alteration or modification at anytime without any notice at the discretion of the Chairman Ordnance Factory Board.
  18. Customers have to collect the Pistol in person. ISSUE OF PISTOL ON AUTHORITY SHALL NOT BE MADE. I.O.F. MAKE PISTOL IS NOT TRANSFERABLE / SALEABLE WITHIN FIVE YEARS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE / SUPPLY.
  19. Present cost of 0.32" Pistol is Rs. 67,082/- and Pistol with additional Magazine is Rs. 69,010/- (cost inclusive all taxes & duties).
  20. All disputes shall be subject to Kolkata jurisdiction only.
  21. Filled forms are accepted by Registered Post only.
